Qualifications for Journeyman Electrician

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Must possess a valid license from the CA Department of Industrial Relations.
• Extensive experience in commercial electrical installations, with a focus on power systems, lighting, and controls.
• Proficiency in using specialized electrical tools and equipment.
• Capability to supervise apprentices and coordinate effectively with other trades on construction sites.

Responsibilities for Journeyman Electrician

• Plan, layout, and install complete electrical systems for commercial new construction projects.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, electrical schematics, and building plans.
• Install conduit systems (EMT, rigid, and flex), pull wire, and terminate connections for panels, switches, and outlets.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to ensure safety and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes, while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
