Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge in the electrical field and gain hands-on experience. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician, learning the trade while assisting with electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in both residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician.

2. Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams and understand how they apply to a project.

3. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, for safety hazards and functionality.

4. Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.

5. Perform tasks related to drilling, mounting, and wiring under supervision.

6. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.

7. Maintain clean and organized work areas and vehicles.

8. Continually learn about new operating procedures, equipment, and technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Current enrollment in, or completion of, a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.

3. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.

4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety rules and regulations.

6. Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects.

7. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

8. Ability to work in different weather conditions, climb ladders, and work at heights.

9. Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred:

1. Experience in a construction environment.

2. Electrical coursework or related certification.
