Job Description: Prime Partners, a leading electrical contracting company, is seeking a highly skilled and certified Journeyman Electrician to join our team in San Jose, CA, and surrounding cities. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and machinery in commercial and residential structures. You will also be required to adhere to safety standards and ensure that all work is in compliance with the National Electric Code.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams.
2. Installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring, controls, and electrical systems.
3. Inspecting electrical components and systems for safety hazards or faults.
4. Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues using relevant tools.
5. Supervising apprentice electricians and ensuring they adhere to safety procedures.
6. Collaborating with architects and engineers to determine the best placement of electrical wiring.
7. Testing electrical systems and circuits in commercial and residential structures.
8. Ensuring all works are in compliance with the National Electric Code.
9. Performing regular maintenance and preventative measures to keep the electrical system running.
10. Providing professional advice on electrical systems to clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Certified Journeyman Electrician with a valid California state electrician’s license.
2. Minimum of five years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and blueprints.
4. Extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
6. Proficient in the use of electrical diagnostic tools.
7. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures.
8. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
9. Strong communication and team management skills.
10. High school diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions: This position requires both indoor and outdoor work. The Journeyman Electrician may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, high and precarious places, and the risk of electrical shock. This role requires physical strength and dexterity to handle tools and heavy equipment.
