Position: Commercial Electrician Location: San Jose, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician who will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing electrical systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals. This position requires both Apprentice and Journeyman level skillsets.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial structures.
2. Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electrical systems, including switches, electrical panels, conduits, and circuit breakers.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
4. Adhere to local and national electrical codes.
5. Collaborate with construction project managers to identify potential electrical issues and propose solutions.
6. Ensure that all electrical installations are safe, reliable, and meet quality standards.
7. Train and mentor apprentice electricians.
8. Manage inventory and order supplies and materials as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Valid California State Journeyman Electrician’s license.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial Electrician.
3. Proficient in using electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Knowledge of local and national electrical codes.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and circuit diagrams.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Must have experience in using various tools such as wire strippers, conduit benders, multimeters, and thermal scanners.
2. Familiarity with power tools and heavy equipment such as drills, hydraulic presses, and cable pullers.
3. Knowledge of modern electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLC), transformers, and circuit breakers.

1. Adhere to all safety practices and procedures in the workplace.
2. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
3. Participate in safety training and meetings.
4. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
