Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of electrical experience, focusing on installing electrical systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. A $300 sign-on bonus is available after receiving your first paycheck.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial properties, including lighting, HVAC, security systems, and fire alarms.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
3. Inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
4. Advising clients on electrical system maintenance and safety precautions.
5. Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and standards at all times.
6. Coordinating with construction teams and other trades as required.
7. Providing excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism, and ensuring job site cleanliness.

Required Qualifications:

1. A valid Journeyman Electrician license.
2. A minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, with a focus on commercial properties.
3. Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and current regulations.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
6. Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Service Area:

Our service area includes San Jose, CA and surrounding cities. Travel within this area is required as needed.

Knowledge of Tools and Equipment:

Candidates should have experience with various tools and equipment utilized in the electrical trade, including voltage testers, ammeters, oscilloscopes, and cable testers.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

Adherence to all safety requirements and protocols is mandatory, including wearing personal protective equipment, following lockout-tagout procedures, and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with National Electrical Code.
