Senior Controls Technician at Prime Partners
Prime Partners is currently seeking a Senior Controls Technician specializing in manufacturing automation for our operations in San Jose, CA. This role plays a crucial part in our manufacturing process with opportunities to work on exciting projects, implementing and maintaining advanced automation systems. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI programming, SCADA systems, and industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP/IP. This position requires significant travel for commissioning and emergency support.
Required Experience
The perfect candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Senior Controls Technician or similar position.
- Expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI programming, SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in industrial networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Experience with Rockwell RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware InTouch, and Siemens TIA Portal.
- Strong background in process control loops, VFD configuration, and troubleshooting complex automation systems.
- ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) Level III.
- OSHA-30 and Arc Flash certification.
- CompTIA Network+ certification.
- Willingness to travel 50-75% for commissioning and emergency support.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a manufacturing automation environment.
- Familiarity with the surrounding area, including Milpitas, Santa Clara, and Campbell.
- Additional certifications related to control systems or manufacturing automation.
Compensation
The salary for this position ranges from $56.5 to $66.59 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Prime Partners also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Location
This position is based in San Jose, CA. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in one of the most vibrant tech hubs in the world, neighboring cities such as Cupertino, Sunnyvale, and Palo Alto.
