Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Company: Prime Partners Location: Berkeley, CA

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team serving Berkeley, CA and surrounding cities including Albany, Emeryville, Oakland, and Orinda. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the electrical industry, understanding electrical systems, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures following standard practices of the electrical trade.
2. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
3. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly and systems operate efficiently.
4. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
5. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
6. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
7. Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.
8. Collaborate with the team to complete large projects efficiently.
9. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Possess a Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
2. At least 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
3. Proven experience in commercial and residential electrical systems.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems.
5. In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, legal regulations, and guidelines in the electrical field.
6. Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts occasionally.
9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law regulations.
