Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Berkeley, CA. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Licensed Electrician, learn the trade and skills necessary to become a fully qualified Electrician, and assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. Responsibilities:

1. Assist in installing and maintaining electrical systems within residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

2. Learn and adhere to all safety regulations and practices.

3. Operate power and manual tools safely and effectively.

4. Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and repairing electrical issues.

5. Follow the guidance and instructions of the supervising electrician to perform tasks.

6. Help in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and diagrams.

7. Assist in the installation of electrical panels, wiring, and lighting systems.

8. Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.

9. Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

10. Keep work areas clean and tools and equipment well-organized.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must be enrolled in or willing to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program.

3. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and principles is a plus.

4. Strong aptitude for mathematics and science.

5. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long hours and on various shifts.

6. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

2. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

3. Must adhere to safety guidelines at all times.

4. Must be able to work in different environmental conditions, including heat and cold, for extended periods.

5. Must be willing to work on weekends or holidays, if required.
