About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and troubleshooting of various fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will ensure all fire alarm systems are functioning properly and meet all safety regulations and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring all work is performed to company standards and is in line with the National Electric Code.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning fire alarm systems, identifying and resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
3. Performing routine maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet all safety regulations.
4. Responding to service calls and emergencies in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service and professional assistance.
5. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and fire alarm system specifications to ensure proper installation and functionality.
6. Keeping accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest fire alarm systems, tools, and techniques, attending training sessions and workshops as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Fire Alarm Technician.
3. Detailed knowledge of fire alarm systems, including installation, service, and troubleshooting.
4. Familiarity with the National Electric Code and local building codes.
5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong customer service and communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Requirements:

1. Electrical Training certificate or equivalent.
2. NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II certification preferred.
3. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
4. Physically capable of performing the tasks associated with the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
