Prime Partners is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. This position will also serve our clients in the surrounding cities including San Jose, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical industry, primarily in new construction and big box retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic security systems.
2. Work with complex network and telecommunications systems, including WAN/LAN and VOIP.
3. Perform system testing to ensure the proper working of all installed equipment.
4. Analyze and troubleshoot network and communication system issues.
5. Work closely with engineers and architects during new construction projects to integrate voice and data systems.
6. Manage all aspects of cable installation, including placement, termination, and testing.
7. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
8. Maintain compliance with all safety and electrical codes.
9. Provide top-notch customer service, explaining complex technical issues in an understandable manner.
10. Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician in the electrical industry.
3. Familiarity with new construction and big box retail is a must.
4. Excellent understanding of WAN/LAN and VOIP systems.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
6. Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
10. Ability to handle physical workload which may include lifting heavy equipment or climbing on ladders.
11. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
