Journeyman Electrician at Prime Partners

Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Company: Prime Partners Location: Santa Clara, CA

Job Description: Prime Partners is currently seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician with experience in the electrical industry to join our team. The successful candidate will be based in Santa Clara, CA but should be willing to work in surrounding cities including San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Mountain View.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
3. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
4. Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and residential electrical systems.
5. Ensure electrical installations are safe and up to code.
6. Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
7. Train and direct workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
8. Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine the best placement of electrical wiring.
9. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.

Qualifications:

1. State of California Journeyman Electrician license is required.
2. Proven experience as an electrician.
3. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
4. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
5. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts.
8. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Successful completion of an electrician apprenticeship.
3. Valid driver’s license.
4. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
5. Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to climb, lift, and work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Detail-oriented and professional demeanor.
9. Available for overtime and emergency call-in work as required.
