Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Roswell, GA. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrical industry, with extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of fire alarm technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, service, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with local, state, and national codes.
2. Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
4. Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, repairs, and other work performed.
5. Educate clients on proper use and maintenance of their fire alarm systems.
6. Assist in the design and planning of fire detection systems in new buildings and renovations.
7. Stay up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies, and potential improvements to existing systems.
8. Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent customer service at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or a similar role in the electrical industry.
3. Thorough understanding of fire alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
5. Strong knowledge of local, state, and national fire alarm codes and regulations.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
7. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
8. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
9. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
10. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. The Fire Alarm Technician must also have good manual dexterity and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
