Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Location: Roswell, GA

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in commercial electrical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components in commercial buildings. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings.
2. Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
3. Inspect electrical systems to ensure they meet local and national electrical codes.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions for timely resolution.
5. Work with blueprints, schematics, and layouts.
6. Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
7. Ensure all work is performed safely and meets quality standards.
8. Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick learning and adherence to safety and quality standards.
9. Coordinate with project managers and other trades on site.
10. Provide excellent customer service to all clients.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Georgia State Journeyman Electrician license.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyman electrician, specifically in the commercial sector.
3. Extensive knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations.
4. Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
5. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and legal guidelines.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to climb ladders, stand or walk for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
8. Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
9. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
3. Must pass a drug test and background check.
4. Ability to work overtime and be on call for emergencies.
5. Must have personal tools and protective equipment.
