About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician for our Cupertino, CA location. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the electrical industry with a focus on fire alarm systems. They will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in a variety of settings.
2. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all fire alarm systems are functioning properly.
3. Identify and resolve technical issues with fire alarm systems, applying troubleshooting techniques as needed.
4. Provide training and guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of their fire alarm systems.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, inspections, maintenance work, and repairs.
6. Comply with all relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations.
7. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements in fire alarm systems.
8. Collaborate with team members and other professionals to ensure the optimal functionality and safety of all fire alarm systems.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field is a plus.
2. Valid California State Fire/Life Safety Technician Certification or ability to obtain it within a specified time frame.
3. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.
4. Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.
5. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with fire alarm systems.
6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
9. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
10. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.

The Fire Alarm Technician position is a full-time role that may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. The successful candidate must pass a background check and drug test.
