Fire Alarm Technician at Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team. Based in Chandler, AZ, the successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals across Chandler and the surrounding cities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, inspect, and service fire alarm systems in new and existing buildings according to NFPA codes and standards.
2. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
3. Troubleshoot and repair faulty fire alarm systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for fire alarm systems.
5. Conduct detailed testing of installed systems, including end-to-end system checks.
6. Provide training and guidance to customers on fire alarm system operation and maintenance.
7. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for each job.
8. Work collaboratively with a team of experienced technicians.
9. Respond to emergency call-outs in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
3. NICET Level II Fire Alarm Certification is highly desirable.
4. In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
5. Proficiency in the use of fire alarm system tools and equipment.
6. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
7. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
8. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

The candidate should be proficient in using various tools and equipment related to fire alarm systems, including multi-meters, wire strippers, power drills, conduit benders, and hand tools.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

The candidate must adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols. This includes wearing appropriate safety gear, following lockout-tagout procedures, and ensuring all work practices minimize risk to themselves and others.
