Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and protection of our clients. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and knowledge of the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, test, and inspect fire alarm systems in both residential and commercial properties.
2. Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure systems are in good working condition.
3. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of fire alarm systems.
4. Prepare service reports, indicating the nature of the job and time spent.
5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.
6. Assist in the planning and design of fire alarm systems.
7. Conduct training sessions on the use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and safety regulations.
9. Respond to emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role.
3. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, electrical systems, and safety regulations.
4. Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment.
5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Good physical condition and ability to work in different weather conditions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Valid driver’s license.

Requirements:

1. Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) or National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification is preferred.
2. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
3. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
4. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
5. Must adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and standards.
