Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Location: Burbank, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician for our growing operations in Burbank, CA. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of electrical systems, be able to troubleshoot issues, and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, and identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
3. Read blueprints or technical diagrams before doing work.
4. Install wiring and electrical systems in new commercial construction projects.
5. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
6. Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
7. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
8. Perform routine maintenance and preventive measures to ensure the functionality of electrical systems.
9. Respond to emergency call-outs and troubleshoot electrical issues to identify and correct faults.

Qualifications:

1. California State Journeyman License required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Journeyman Electrician.
3. Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements.
4. Must have experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
5. Demonstrated experience with electrical systems installation, troubleshooting, and testing.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
7. High proficiency in using electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
8. Strong communication and mentoring skills.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license.
10. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in extreme weather.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program required.
3. Journeyman Electrician License in the state of California.
4. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
5. Availability to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
6. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
7. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.
