About Us: Prime Partners is a leading provider of fire safety solutions in San Diego and the surrounding areas. We specialize in the installation of fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Installer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in accordance with current fire codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation of fire detection and alarm systems in commercial properties following the blueprints and electrical schematics.
2. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
3. Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
4. Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on system operation and maintenance.
6. Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in fire alarm system installation.
2. Valid state electrician license.
3. NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II Certification is highly preferred.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and architectural drawings.
5. Knowledge of local and national fire and electrical codes.
6. Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficient in the use of electrical testing tools, hand tools, power tools, and conduit benders.
2. Experience with various fire alarm control panels and systems, including but not limited to Simplex, Notifier, EST, and Silent Knight.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to electrical work and construction sites.
2. Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
3. Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures consistently.
