Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow in the electrical industry, working under the supervision of our experienced Electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will help in installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist Electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.

2. Carry out tasks related to electrical wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and outlets.

3. Test electrical systems using tools such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.

4. Follow state and local building regulations as laid down by the National Electrical Code.

5. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, for safety hazards.

6. Identify electrical problems with various testing devices.

7. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or its equivalent.

2. Successful completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school is preferred.

3. Proven experience as an apprentice electrician.

4. In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.

5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

6. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license.

2. Valid apprentice license.

3. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

5. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.

6. Ability to climb ladders, bend or stand for long periods of time.

7. Ability to use hand and power tools.

The Apprentice Electrician position is a physically demanding job that requires working in a variety of environments and conditions. It also requires good color vision, as electricians often need to identify electrical wires by color.
