Overview:

Prime Partners, a leader in commercial electrical and safety services, is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installer with at least 2 years of professional experience. This role will focus specifically on the installation of fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. Areas of work include Phoenix, AZ, and surrounding cities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
• Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to ensure quality and conformity to standards and codes.
• Test and troubleshoot systems to ensure they function effectively and efficiently.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and building officials during the installation process.
• Provide training and support to the building occupants on fire alarm systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience installing fire alarm systems in commercial properties.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further technical training is a plus.
• Knowledge of local fire and electrical codes.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints and complex instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Certifications:

• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher is preferred.
• Fire Alarm System Agent Certification.

Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Experience with various fire alarm panels and devices, including but not limited to Notifier, Simplex, and Edwards.
• Proficient with various tools used in the installation of fire alarms including drills, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and conduit benders.

Safety Requirements:

• Knowledgeable in safe work practices and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Performs all work in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions to management.
