Job Description:

Prime Partners is searching for a highly skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the installation, maintenance, and repair of voice and data systems for our commercial clients. Our focus is primarily on new construction and big box retail, so experience in these areas is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communication systems.

2. Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.

3. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.

4. Inspect and service data communication lines, hardware, and equipment in commercial buildings.

5. Coordinate with contractors and other construction professionals to install and maintain voice and data systems in new construction projects.

6. Provide on-site training and technical support to clients on the use and maintenance of voice and data systems.

7. Prepare and present detailed reports on each job, including observations, actions taken, and status updates.

8. Remain up-to-date with the latest voice and data technology, systems, and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician in the commercial sector, specifically in new construction and big box retail.

3. Knowledge of electrical theory and data communication technology.

4. Familiarity with electrical safety procedures and guidelines.

5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

6. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

7. Ability to travel to surrounding areas, including Scottsdale, Tempe, and Glendale.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.

2. Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including high and low temperatures, indoors and outdoors.

3. Willingness to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.

4. Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.

5. Must pass a background check and drug test.
