Fire Alarm Installer at Prime Partners

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Installer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our team at Prime Partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of installing fire alarm systems in commercial properties such as new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installing and programming fire alarm systems in commercial properties.
2. Testing and inspecting systems to ensure they are in perfect working order.
3. Reading and understanding blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
4. Collaborating with construction teams and electrical engineers to integrate fire alarm systems into building design.
5. Performing routine maintenance on fire alarm systems.
6. Troubleshooting and rectifying issues with fire alarm systems.
7. Providing clients with instructions on how to use the systems.
8. Adhering to all safety requirements and protocols.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in fire alarm installation.
3. Knowledge of local, state, and national fire codes and standards.
4. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
5. Proven ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical manuals.
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team.
8. Clean driving record.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Must be proficient in using specialized tools for fire alarm system installation, such as conduit benders, wire strippers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
2. Familiarity with the use of ladders, lifts, and other equipment necessary for working at heights.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Must always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
2. Experience in working safely at heights.
3. Must wear provided personal protective equipment at all times.
4. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures.

Service Area:

Our service area includes Pasadena, CA and the surrounding cities. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to different job sites within this area.
