Position: Commercial Journeyman Electrician Location: Pasadena, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience to join our team. This role primarily focuses on installing electrical systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. We’re offering a $300 sign on bonus after the first paycheck.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
3. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and electrical systems.
4. Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
5. Work with project managers and design teams on electrical installation for new construction.
6. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
7. Communicate with team and clients regarding project progress, issues, and solutions.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Valid California Journeyman Electrician License.
2. Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, specifically in the commercial sector.
3. Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
4. Must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.).
5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Service Area:

The primary service area includes Pasadena and surrounding cities. Some travel may be required for larger scale projects or emergency service calls.

Required Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Applicants should have experience with various electrical tools and equipment, including voltmeters, ammeters, cable pullers, conduit benders, wire strippers, and power tools.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

Adherence to all safety regulations is a must. This includes wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all electrical safety procedures. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred.
