Position: Commercial Electrician Location: Glendale, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Electrician for our rapidly growing company, Prime Partners. Our ideal candidate should be an experienced Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician specializing in electrical systems for new construction office buildings and hospitals. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all types of electrical systems to ensure they function correctly and comply with the relevant safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to understand the layout of commercial electrical systems.

2. Install electrical fixtures, systems, and equipment such as conduits, cables, wires, panels, and switchboards.

3. Diagnose malfunctions and repair electrical components, systems, and equipment.

4. Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears.

5. Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.

6. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.

7. Perform necessary administrative tasks, including maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician.

2. Valid state Electrician license.

3. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.

4. Experience working with electrical systems in commercial buildings.

5. Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.

6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

7. Good physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Service Area:

The candidate will primarily service Glendale, CA, and surrounding cities.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (e.g., voltmeters, oscilloscopes).

2. Familiarity with electrical systems installation and repair tools, including wire strippers, conduit benders, and multimeters.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Adhere to all quality and safety codes.

2. Use protective equipment and clothing as necessary.

3. Complete all tasks in accordance with Prime Partners safety protocols.
