Job Title: Commercial Electrician Location: Tempe, AZ Company: Prime Partners

Job Description: Prime Partners, a leading commercial construction company, is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment following electrical codes and blueprints.
2. Connecting power supply wires to machines and equipment and connecting cables and wires between machines and equipment.
3. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
4. Directing and training apprentice electricians to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
5. Maintaining current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
6. Planning layouts and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
7. Preparing sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
8. Inspecting systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
9. Advising management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician, with a minimum of 5 years for Journeyman level and 2 years for experienced Apprentice level.
2. Valid state journeyman electrician license.
3. Profound understanding of the NEC codes.
4. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
5. Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Service Area:

The service area for this position includes Tempe, AZ and surrounding cities. Some travel may be required depending on the project location.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Candidates should be familiar with various tools and equipment such as voltage testers, oscilloscopes, thermal scanners, cable testers, and conduit benders.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

Strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures is mandatory. This includes wearing PPE, securing work areas, and following lockout-tagout procedures.
