Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals, as well as existing facilities. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and advanced knowledge of fire alarm principles, system operation, and equipment use.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installing, programming, and repairing fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals.
2. Performing preventative maintenance and regular testing on fire alarm systems to ensure functionality.
3. Troubleshooting and identifying malfunctions in fire alarm systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment as necessary.
4. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures during installation and maintenance.
5. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure proper installation of systems.
6. Providing exceptional customer service, and addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally.
7. Keeping up to date with advancements in fire alarm systems and safety protocols.
8. Training and mentoring less experienced technicians.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
2. High school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree in electrical technology or related field is a plus.
3. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is highly preferred.
4. Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
5. Proficiency in the use of electronic test equipment, hand and power tools.
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
7. Valid driver’s license.

Service Area:

The Fire Alarm Technician will be primarily servicing Tempe, AZ and nearby areas.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

The Fire Alarm Technician will be expected to strictly adhere to all company and industry safety standards and protocols. This includes but is not limited to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, following lockout-tagout procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
