Security Technician at Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Technician to join our team in Tempe, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining high-quality security systems in commercial properties such as new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install and maintain security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
2. Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot faults, and carry out necessary repairs.
3. Work with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals during installation.
4. Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations at all times during work.
5. Provide technical support and training to customers on system operation.
6. Complete necessary paperwork, including incident reports and service logs.
7. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in security system installation and maintenance.
2. A valid state driver’s license.
3. Knowledge of local codes and standards.
4. Strong understanding of IP networks and computer systems.
5. Professional certifications such as Certified Security Systems Technician (CSST) or similar are highly preferred.
6. High school diploma or equivalent.
7. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Service Area:

The successful candidate will be expected to provide service to Tempe and surrounding cities.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficient in using various hand and power tools necessary for the job.
2. Familiarity with various security system brands and their installation procedures.
3. Strong knowledge of computer systems and network configurations.
4. Ability to use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot faults.

Safety Requirements:

1. Adhere to all company and site safety protocols and regulations.
2. Must be able to safely lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
3. Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights.
