Job Title: Commercial Electrician Location: Mesa, AZ Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Apprentice and Journeyman level skills, focusing on general electrical work for new construction office buildings and hospitals. The position is based in Mesa, AZ but will serve the surrounding areas as well.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Perform general electrical maintenance.
4. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
7. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
8. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
9. Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
10. Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Apprentice-level skills:

1. Assist in the installation of electrical systems under the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician.
2. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
3. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.

Journeyman-level skills:

1. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
2. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
3. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
4. Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
2. Experience working as an electrician.
3. High school diploma.
4. Valid driver’s license.
5. Electrician degree from a technical college.
6. Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
7. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
8. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
9. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
10. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
11. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
