Role Overview
As an Office Security Technician at Nipper Electric, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security infrastructure of our commercial clients. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems across various commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that our clients’ facilities are secure, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

Requirements for Office Security Technician

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of security equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to design and implement customized security solutions.
• Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the use and maintenance of security systems.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs for future reference.

Required Certifications

• Lenel Certification
• Crestron Certification

Experience Required

• Proficiency in working with Crestron, Lenel, and C-More systems.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of electrical experience with a focus on security systems.
• Possess a valid electrical license for the state of Florida.
• Demonstrated experience with Crestron and Lenel systems in a commercial setting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Capable of standing, bending, and crouching for extended periods.

Safety Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of safety protocols related to electrical and security system installations.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with C-More systems.
• Previous experience on commercial projects with a focus on security systems.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Neighboring Cities: St. Augustine, Orange Park, Fernandina Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, and Middleburg, FL.
• Schedule: Full-time

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $27.73-$32.64 per hour, depending on experience.
