Apprentice Electrician Role

As an Apprentice Electrician within our Commercial division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced electricians on a wide range of commercial projects. You will gain hands-on experience while working on office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools, contributing to the successful completion of each project. Requirements

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings.
  • Support lead electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing necessary repairs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand wiring layouts.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project efficiency.

• Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • First Aid/CPR Certification

• Experience:

  • 1-2 years of electrical experience, preferably in commercial settings.
  • Valid electrical license for FL.
  • Proficiency with Digital Multimeters (Fluke) and Power Tools (Milwaukee, DeWalt).

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

• Safety Knowledge:

  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Basic First Aid/CPR.
• Previous commercial project experience is highly desirable.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Neighboring Cities: St. Augustine, Orange Park, Middleburg, Fernandina Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach.
• Schedule: Full-time position, Monday through Friday with potential for overtime based on project needs.

• Pay Range: $22.04-$26.48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
