Job Description:

McEnroe Voice & Data is seeking an experienced Voice & Data Installer to join our team. We specialize in providing state-of-the-art voice and data infrastructure for new construction office buildings and hospitals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in commercial electrical work in Jacksonville, FL and nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot voice and data systems for commercial clients, with a focus on new construction office buildings and hospitals.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice cables in accordance with industry standards.
• Test and commission voice and data systems to ensure they are operational and meet specified performance criteria.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and electricians, to ensure voice and data systems are integrated smoothly into the overall building design.
• Provide on-site customer service and answer any technical questions clients might have.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in voice and data installation.
• BICSI Installer or Technician certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably climb ladders.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Must be proficient in using industry-standard tools, such as cable testers, punch down tools, and fiber optic splicing equipment.
• Knowledge of CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cable installation.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

• Must adhere to all OSHA safety regulations.
• Must use proper PPE at all times.
• Experience creating and maintaining a safe work environment.

Service Area:

• This position services Jacksonville, FL and surrounding cities. Some travel may be required.
