Position Overview

The PV System Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves working on a variety of projects, ensuring that systems are installed safely and efficiently while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Essential Functions

• Install and maintain PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and other electrical components.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of PV installations to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues related to PV systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Interpret and apply electrical and building codes to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.

Required Qualifications

• 4-8 years of electrical experience, preferably in PV systems.
• Valid electrical license for FL.
• Completion of required certifications and training in PV system installation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• NABCEP certification or equivalent.
• Experience with advanced PV technologies and systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical design and diagnostic software/tools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Jacksonville, FL.
• Service area includes the surrounding metropolitan area.
• Schedule: Full-time.
• May require occasional travel to project sites within the service area.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34.01-$49.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
