Data Center Cable Tech at MMR Group

Position Overview

The Data Center Cable Tech will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center cabling systems within office building projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in managing and optimizing cable infrastructure.

Essential Functions

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cabling in office buildings.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on data center cabling systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Identify and resolve any networking or cabling issues promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with company and industry standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in data center cabling or a related field.
• Required certification: Corning Certification.
• Proficient in working with Panduit Cable Management and Corning Fiber Systems.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, and work in confined spaces when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: BICSI Data Center Design.
• Experience with CommScope Infrastructure.
• Specialized experience in large-scale office building projects.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools and equipment.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Marina del Rey, CA.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project demands.

• Pay range: $30-$35.88 per hour.
