Position Overview at Convergint
As a Fire Alarm Technician at Convergint, you will play a crucial role in servicing, maintaining, and installing fire alarm systems, particularly focusing on projects within healthcare facilities in Marina del Rey, CA, and the surrounding areas. You will ensure that systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards, contributing to the overall safety and security of healthcare environments.
Essential Functions for Fire Alarm Tech
- Key Responsibilities: Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Daily Tasks: Perform routine inspections, diagnose system issues, execute repairs, and complete service documentation.
- Project Involvement: Work on projects that involve system installations and upgrades in healthcare facilities, collaborating with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Required Qualifications for Fire Alarm Tech at Convergint
- 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm systems.
- Required certification: Edwards EST Certification.
- Experience with Edwards EST Systems and Notifier Systems.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Simplex 4100 Certification.
- Experience with Silent Knight Systems.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility projects.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in fire alarm system installations and maintenance.
Location & Schedule
- Primary Location: Marina del Rey, CA
- Additional Locations: Santa Monica, Culver City, Venice, Playa Vista, and Westchester.
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $28.11-$33.56 per hour
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
