Must Haves for Cable Tech

• 3-5 years experience as a Cable Tech: Proven track record in structured cabling.
• Proficiency in terminating fiber and copper: Essential for maintaining connectivity standards.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA cabling standards: Critical for ensuring compliance and quality.

Key Cable Tech Duties

• Install structured cabling systems: Including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optics.
• Terminate and test fiber connections: Using Fluke equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Set up cable tray systems and network racks: Install and dress for organized and efficient network environments.
• Document as-built plans: Maintain accurate records for project tracking.
• Lead small project teams: Guide and manage team members to achieve project goals.
