Position: Voice & Data Installer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and repair voice, data and electronic communication systems in commercial buildings and hospitals.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
• Perform physical installation of cabling, including conduit, CAT5 and fiber optics.
• Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance procedures on various network systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with existing systems and propose solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, architects, and building owners to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time.
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in voice, data and electronic communication systems installation.
• BICSI Installer or Technician certification preferred.
• Knowledge of industry standards and building codes.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Service Area:

This role will service Indianapolis and the surrounding cities within a 50-mile radius, including but not limited to Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, and Zionsville.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Must have experience with various tools and equipment for installation and repair, such as punch down tools, test meters, and cable verifiers.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, and network servers.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

• Follow all company and site safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
• Attend and successfully complete safety training sessions and meetings.
