Overview of Healthcare Cable Technician Role

As a Healthcare Cable Technician at Jackson Electric, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cable systems within healthcare facilities and other commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure that our commercial projects are completed to the highest standards, supporting the demanding needs of the healthcare industry.

Essential Functions

• Install and maintain low-voltage cable systems in commercial settings, with a focus on healthcare facilities.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine cable installation requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately install cable systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including BICSI, OSHA 10, and First Aid/CPR guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cable systems promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installation and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, specifically in commercial environments.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Florida.
• Proven experience with OSHA 10 and BICSI certifications.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in the electrical industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in First Aid/CPR.
• Prior experience working on commercial projects, particularly in healthcare facilities.

• Primary location: Miami, FL
• Neighboring cities include Hialeah, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, North Miami, and Doral.
• Schedule: Full-time position with the potential for overtime based on project needs.
