Overview of the Industrial Journeyman Electrician Role

As an Industrial Journeyman Electrician at IES Electric, you will play a crucial role in our industrial projects, providing expert electrical services to ensure the efficient operation of complex systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of industrial settings, working closely with project managers and other team members to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Essential Functions

• Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components in industrial environments.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical issues, using advanced test equipment to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
• Code Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards.
• Conduit Bending: Utilize conduit bending techniques to install electrical conduits accurately and efficiently.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and fellow electricians to coordinate tasks and ensure project milestones are met.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including confined space regulations, to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time spent and materials used.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4-8 years of electrical experience in industrial settings.
• Licensing: Valid electrical license for the state of California.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with code books and conduit bending techniques.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in confined spaces.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in industrial environments.

• Pay Range: $38.29-$45.71 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
