Overview of the Role

As a Fire Alarm Security Project Manager at Convergint, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of fire alarm projects. You will be responsible for managing timelines, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial in developing innovative solutions that meet our client’s specific needs.

Essential Functions

• Project Management: Lead and manage fire alarm security projects from conception to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met.

• Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and project execution.

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, with a strong emphasis on safety.

• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.

• Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

• Required Certifications: Possession of IPMA and PMP certifications is essential for this role.

• Software Proficiency: Experience with design software, project management software, and estimating tools is required.

• Typical Projects: You will oversee projects across various sectors, including commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.

Required Qualifications

• Electrical Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical work is required.
• Licensing: Must hold a valid electrical license for California.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in design and project management software is essential.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks related to the role, including site visits and inspections.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Estimating Tools: Experience with estimating tools is preferred, enhancing your ability to manage project budgets effectively.

• Primary Location: This position is based in Glendale, CA.
• Neighboring Cities: The Glendale office is conveniently located near several neighboring cities, including Pasadena, Burbank, Los Angeles, La Cañada Flintridge, and Eagle Rock.
• Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility to meet project demands and deadlines.
