As a Commercial Security Alarm Project Manager at Prime Partners, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of security alarm projects within our commercial division. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning and design through to installation and commissioning. This role requires a deep understanding of security systems, project management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Essential Functions
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and closing of commercial security alarm projects. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, ensuring that project teams have the necessary tools and information to perform their duties efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all installations meet company and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays and cost overruns.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management on project status and performance.
Required Certifications
- PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments)
- CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
Required Experience
- Proficiency in Project Management Software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
- Expertise in Code Analysis to ensure compliance with local and national standards
- Familiarity with Design Software used in creating security system plans

Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on security systems
- Valid electrical license for the state of California
- Proven experience with Project Management Software and Code Analysis

- Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Design Software such as AutoCAD or similar tools
- Prior experience managing commercial projects, particularly in the security sector
Location & Schedule
- Primary Location: San Jose, CA
- Neighboring Cities: Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Milpitas, Campbell
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as projects demand
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $39.17 - $46.87 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
