Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about electrical systems and be able to perform a wide range of electrical tasks independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in commercial buildings.
2. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
3. Inspect and test electrical systems to identify any defects or malfunctions.
4. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes.
5. Prepare and maintain records of completed work.
6. Collaborate with a team of electricians and other construction professionals.
7. Assist in training apprentice electricians.
8. Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of California.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
3. Profound knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and maintenance.
4. Ability to use electrical and hand tools effectively.
5. Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools.
6. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
8. Ability to work independently and in a team.
9. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
10. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
11. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

This is a full-time position which may require weekend and evening work. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic. You will have the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
