Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician for our operations in Sunnyvale, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain various types of fire alarm systems, including wiring and equipment.
2. Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
3. Locate and correct any issues or malfunctions in systems and replace faulty equipment as necessary.
4. Provide technical assistance and training to customers, explaining system operation and maintenance procedures.
5. Prepare service reports, detailing all work performed and any changes in system status.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards, including NFPA and local fire codes.
7. Respond to emergency service calls as required, and resolve issues promptly.
8. Keep informed of new products and developments within the fire alarm industry.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in a related technical field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fire alarm programming, and related equipment.
4. Current State Fire Alarm Technician License.
5. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred.
6. Proficient in reading and understanding complex blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
7. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
10. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to work at heights.
11. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
12. Must be available to work on-call for emergencies.
