Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice, data, and electronic communications systems. Your role will be crucial to ensure that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, test, and repair voice and data cables from distribution frames to junction boxes and network interfaces.
2. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.
3. Identify and eliminate any interference or faults in the voice and data systems.
4. Install, maintain, and repair voice and data communication systems, including VoIP systems.
5. Read and interpret blueprints, design wiring and installation diagrams.
6. Coordinate and manage all onsite installations, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
7. Follow industry standards for installation, testing, and safety.
8. Provide training and support to end-users.
9. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely and accurate fashion.

Qualifications:

1. Associate degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician.
3. Hands-on experience with all telecommunications systems including data and voice networks.
4. Extensive knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and data management.
5. Proficient in using various tools and equipment necessary for the job.
6. Understanding of blueprints and technical diagrams.
7. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Requirements:

1. Willingness to travel to surrounding cities such as Mountain View, Cupertino, Santa Clara, and Palo Alto.
2. Ability to work in different environments, including outdoors, the heights, tight spaces, etc.
3. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and hardware.
4. Flexibility to work during non-business hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
