Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. The Apprentice Electrician will learn the trade by working under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician, and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

2. Read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams.

3. Use testing devices to troubleshoot and identify electrical problems.

4. Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, including but not limited to switches, circuit breaker panels, and lighting fixtures.

5. Comply with all safety procedures and regulations, as well as building codes.

6. Attend classroom instruction as part of an apprenticeship program and apply learned principles on the job.

7. Assist in the inspection of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety codes.

8. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must be enrolled in, or willing to enroll in, an approved electrician apprenticeship program.

3. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and principles.

4. Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

6. Excellent problem-solving ability.

7. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. Excellent communication skills.

10. Must be willing and able to work in various conditions, such as heights and confined spaces.

11. Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects.

12. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
