Position Overview at Wisetel
The Cable Technician position at Wisetel involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systems in office buildings across Sandy Springs, GA, and the surrounding areas. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background to ensure seamless network operations for our clients.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test various types of cables, including fiber optic and copper cables, in office building environments.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to complete projects efficiently.
- Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Conduct site surveys to assess and plan cabling requirements for new projects.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Wisetel
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Required certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Proficiency with termination equipment and cable management systems.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Experience with fiber optic tools and techniques.
- Specialized experience in commercial office building projects.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools and equipment.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Sandy Springs, GA.
- Additional locations: Roswell, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, and Alpharetta.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.19-$33.37 per hour.
