Position Overview at Vision Technologies

As a Security Technician at Vision Technologies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of educational institutions in San Diego, CA, and its neighboring cities. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems to protect school campuses and their assets. You will work closely with educational clients to design and implement security solutions that meet their specific needs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements for Security Technician

• Key responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including CCTV and access control systems.
  • Conduct regular system inspections and perform necessary repairs and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to design security solutions that enhance campus safety.

• Daily tasks:

  • Respond to service requests and troubleshoot issues with security systems.
  • Document service activities and system configurations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on security system operation.

• Project involvement:

  • Participate in project planning and execution for new security installations.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and scope.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other technicians to achieve project goals.

Qualifications for Security Technician at Vision Technologies

• 2-4 years of experience in security systems installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Security+ Certification.
• Experience with Access Control Systems and CCTV Systems.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: ASIS PSP Certification.
• Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems.
• Specialized experience in educational institution security solutions.
• Proficiency with tools such as multimeters, cable testers, and hand tools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: San Diego, CA.
• Additional locations: Chula Vista, Escondido, Carlsbad, and El Cajon.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for occasional overtime and weekend work based on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.81-$38.5 per hour.
