Position Overview at Vision Technologies

As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems, primarily focusing on healthcare facilities in Pasadena, CA, and the neighboring cities. The role requires a strong understanding of low voltage cabling and network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data transfer within healthcare environments.

Requirements for Cable Technician

Key Responsibilities for Cable Technician at Vision Technologies

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling systems.
• Perform regular system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with other technicians and project managers to ensure project completion.

Low Voltage Cabling Installation

• Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
• Conduct site surveys to assess cabling needs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Tool Proficiency for Daily Tasks

• Must be proficient with cable testers, punch-down tools, and termination equipment.

Daily Tasks

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of cable networks.
• Document installation and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Project Involvement

• Participate in planning and execution of cabling projects.
• Assist in the design and layout of cable installations.
• Provide support for upgrades and expansions of existing systems.

Qualifications for Cable Technician at Vision Technologies

• 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Network+ Certification.
• Experience with: Cable Testers, Termination Equipment.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
• Experience with advanced cable testing and troubleshooting.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Pasadena, CA.
• Additional locations: Glendale, Burbank, and Los Angeles.
• Schedule: Full-time.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $31.47-$36.82 per hour.
