Low Voltage Security Installer at AVI SPL

Position Overview

AVI SPL is seeking a seasoned Low Voltage Security Installer in Pasadena, CA. This role requires an individual with considerable experience in sophisticated security systems. The installer will primarily work with government entities, including federal agencies, state offices, and military facilities. The position demands a high level of leadership skills as the incumbent will be leading a team of 4-6 technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot access control systems, IP camera systems, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
• Lead a team of technicians in day-to-day operations and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Coordinate regular site visits to ensure optimal system operation and minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and policies during installations and other tasks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the clients, updating them regularly on project progress and any issues encountered.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in low voltage security installation.
• Must hold ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) and NICET Level II certifications.
• Proven experience in working with access control systems, IP camera systems, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
• Willingness to travel up to a 100-mile radius for installations in regional offices and facilities.
• Ability to work in the second shift (2:00 PM -10:30 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• ESA Level 2 and CompTIA Security+ certifications will be considered a plus.
• Prior leadership experience guiding a team will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with the local market and client types in the Pasadena area is preferred.
