Junior Project Manager at Valley Alarm

Join our team as an Access Control Junior Project Manager and contribute to the successful execution of security projects that protect people and property. In this role, you will work closely with senior project managers and technical teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Essential Functions

• Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of access control projects. Coordinate resources, schedules, and project deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to understand their security needs and provide project updates.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
• Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets, track expenses, and report any discrepancies to senior management.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet quality standards and client expectations by conducting regular site visits and inspections.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and sales, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Problem-solving: Identify potential project risks and issues, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

Required Certifications

• CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
• IPMA (International Project Management Association) Certification

Experience With

• Estimating Tools: Ability to use tools for accurate project estimation and budgeting.
• Project Management Software: Proficiency in project management tools for planning and tracking.
• Code Analysis: Familiarity with analyzing and interpreting security codes and regulations.

Typical Projects

• Corporate Offices: Implementing access control systems to secure facilities and protect assets.
• Government Facilities: Designing and installing security solutions that meet stringent regulatory requirements.
• Healthcare Centers: Ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and sensitive information through advanced access control systems.

Required Qualifications

• 0-2 years of electrical experience
• Valid electrical license for the state of Arizona
• Experience with estimating tools and project management software
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a security environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with code analysis and understanding of security codes
• Previous experience working on security projects is highly desirable

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Peoria, AZ
• Neighboring Cities: Glendale, Sun City, Surprise, and Avondale, AZ
• Schedule: Full-time position, with occasional travel to client sites within the region

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $24.18 - $31.83 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
