About Us: Prime Partners is a reputable firm in the electrical industry, primarily focusing on commercial work such as new construction and big box retail. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Peoria, AZ.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communications systems.
2. Perform cable installations, hardware rack/stack installations, testing, and troubleshooting using standard data and voice tools.
3. Inspect and service telecommunication devices in frequent use.
4. Test circuits and components of malfunctioning telecommunications equipment to isolate sources of malfunctions.
5. Diagnose and correct problems from remote locations, as well as onsite.
6. Coordinate with construction contractors and project managers for installing voice and data systems in new buildings.
7. Evaluate work orders and schematics to determine layout of equipment and to select appropriate installation procedures.
8. Communicate with engineering or technical personnel to resolve equipment and software issues.
9. Perform system tests to verify signal strength, clarity, and adequacy of installation.
10. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and always maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. 2+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
3. Proficiency in using test equipment, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other installation tools.
4. Knowledge of industry best practices for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining voice and data systems.
5. Familiarity with local codes and regulations related to voice and data installations.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a team environment and independently when needed.
9. Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work in different environments – indoors and outdoors, in high and tight spaces.
2. Ability to lift heavy equipment and hardware.
3. Must have manual dexterity to perform specific technical tasks.
